We're looking for founding team members who want to make AI agents safe to deploy.
Why now
AI agents are moving from demos to production, and almost none of them have real boundaries. Karuna is the permission layer that decides what an agent is allowed to do before it does it. We're early, and the people who join now will shape the core of the product.
How we work
- Small team, high ownership. You'll own a core piece of the system from day one.
- Equity-based. These are founding roles. We aren't offering salaries at this stage.
- Remote-friendly, async by default.

Founding Engineer
Build the core of Karuna: the sandbox, the policy engine, the gatekeeper, and the signed decision log. You've built systems people depend on, you care about security and correctness, and you want to own a core piece of one.
- Looking for
- Strong systems or backend experience, interest in AI agents and security.
- Bonus
- Rust, Python, TypeScript, sandboxing, cryptography.
Founding GTM
Talk to teams deploying agents, find our first design partners, and shape how Karuna reaches the market. You're technical enough to explain how it works and curious enough to find out what customers actually need.
- Looking for
- Experience selling or partnering with engineering teams, or a track record of building a community or pipeline from zero.
